2021 USRowing Youth Nationals Results

The 2021 USRowing Youth National Regatta was held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota Florida from June 10th to June 13th. Day one of racing on Thursday the 10th consisted of Time Trials with the top 12 places qualifying for Semi-Finals. The Men’s Youth 4+ raced first in the day, placing 5th in their event of 47 entries with a time of 6:10.609. The Men’s 4X finished second in their time trial with a time of 5:46.756 out of 41 boats. The Women’s Youth 8+ placed 7th out of 36 entries with a time of 6:20.887. The last race of the day was the Men’s U17 2X who finished third out of 28 entries with a time of 6:57.147. All four Marin boats qualified to race in the semifinals which determined their place in either the A or B final.

Semifinals were held on Friday the 11th. The boats must finish in the top 3 places in the semifinal to make the A Final, bottom three boats were assigned to the B Final. The Men’s Youth 4+ finished third in the semis with a time of 6:35.956. The Men’s Youth 4X won their semifinal with a time of 6:04.003. The Women’s Youth 8+ finished fourth at 6:31.781. The Men’s U17 2X won their semifinal with a time of 7:16.003.

The four, quad, and eight had Saturday the 12th off to rest. The Men’s U17 2X raced the A final and finished 6th with a time of 7:18.318 that resulted in them placing 6th overall in the nation.

Sunday racing began with the Men’s Youth 4+ who finished 4th overall with a time of 6:46.334. The Men’s Youth 4X narrowly edged out a first-place finish with a time of 6:10.402, just .007 second ahead of second-place securing them first in the nation in their event. Our Women’s Youth 8+ won the B final with a time of 6:39.572 which places them 7th overall.
