Head of the Charles 2021 Recap

This year Marin sent 16 boats across 13 events for the Head of the Charles Regatta. Marin Rowing Association placed 6th overall out of 619 teams represented at the race based on Team Points for the MacMahon Cup. 

Friday 10/22:

  • 7th and 10th in Women's Senior Master Doubles [50+] out of 17 entries

Saturday10/23:

  • 5th Men's Senior Master Eights [50+] out of 27 entries

  • 1st Men's Grand Master Eights [60+] out of 25 entries

  • 5th Women's Senior Master Eights [50+] out of 28 entries

  • 1st Men's Senior Master Fours [50+] out of 30 entries

  • 27th Women's Senior Master Fours [50+] out of 33 entries

  • 9th Women's Grand Master Fours [60+] out of 18 entries

  • 1st Men's Master Eights [40+] out of 11 entries

Sunday 10/24:

  • 33rd Women's Youth Singles out of 48 entries

  • 2nd Women's Youth Eights out of 76 entries

  • 7th Men's Youth Eights out of 80 entries

  • 4th, 16th, and 45th in the  Directors' Challenge Parent/Child Doubles out of 48 entries

  • 5th Directors' Challenge Women's Quads out of 25 entries

Marin’s next and final race of 2021 will be at Head of the Lagoon in Foster City. The regatta will span 2 days with masters racing Saturday, November 13th, and juniors racing Sunday, November 14th. Spectators are NOT ALLOWED at this regatta this year due to capacity limits from Foster City to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
