Head of the Port Results 2021

Sunday, October 10th Marin Rowing Association ventured to West Sacramento to compete in Head of the Port. This was our first time competing in a normal season regatta since the onset of COVID 19 in early spring 2020. Most squads were represented and we sent two full trailers of boats. This was the first race ever for Masters Novice, Novice Boys, and Novice Girls squads.

Our results:

Men’s Masters 1x finished 5th of 9 entries with a time of 20:43.9

Women’s JR 1x finished 2nd of 6 with a time of 23:03.0

Men’s JR 8+ finished 1st (15:52), 3rd (16:44), 7th (17.01), and 13th (18:04) out of 18 boats.

Women’s JR 8+ finished 1st (17:07), 3rd (18:11), 4th (18:38) out of 12 boats.

Women’s Masters 4+ finished 2nd of 7 boats with a time of 20:20.2

Men’s JR Novice 8+ raced exhibition in this event with 18:43, 18:50, 18:53, and 18:58.

Women’s JR Novice 8+ placed top four out of 5 boats with 20:35, 20:52, 21:04, 21:32.

Women’s Masters 8+ finished 1st ( 18:04) with the A squad and 4th (20:14.5) with the B squad out of 8 boats.

Men’s Master 4X finished 2nd of 2 boats with a time of 19:07.

Men’s Open 8+ (our Varsity Boys) finished 1st (16:22) and 3rd (17:01) out of 4 boats.

Mixed Master’s Novice 8+ finished first and second out of 6 boats with 20:13.6 and 21:26.0.
