RODRIGO RODRIGUES

HEAD COACH FOR MASTERS ROWING, MASTERS MEN HEAD COACH, & U17/16/15 GIRLS HEAD COACH

In his first two seasons with the Marin Varsity Women, Rodrigo was instrumental in coaching the Lightweight 8+ to two silver medal victories at the Southwest Regional Championship. The 8 went on to a 5th place finish in 2017 and a bronze medal in 2018 at Youth Nationals.

Rodrigo’s U16 girls 8+ have won the youth national title in both 2022 and 2023.

Prior to Marin Rowing Rodrigo was the Assistant Coach for the Women’s Long Beach Crew and the Head Coach for the Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association. In addition to his time coaching at the Junior level, Rodrigo has experience coaching for both the Brazilian and United States National Teams. In 2016 he coached the M2x, and in 2015, he was the US Junior Women’s Sculling coach.

Rodrigues got his start as a coxswain in Brazil in 1992. In 1994 and 2005, he helped capture two National Championships in Brazil. He was the National Team coxswain between 2001-2005, where he attended the World Championships in 2001 in the M4+ and in 2005 in the M8+.
