Will Maushardt
A native born San Franciscan, Will has lived in Novato with his wife Teresa for the past 26 years. He was first introduced to rowing at Phillips Academy, Andover MA where he rowed for four years as a youth oarsman. After a forty year break, he decided to join Marin Rowing’s Master rowing team. Watching his daughter compete as a youth for Marin Rowing for four years, it inspired him to pursue his love for the sport and all the dedication it takes to become successful. Currently in addition to his Board duties, he is co-captain of the Men’s Masters B team which gets him out on the water 3-4 days a week.
In the Fall of 2022, Will and his wife became empty nesters as their youngest daughter Hailey just started her freshman year at San Diego State University. Their older daughter Julia, is studying a year abroad in both Spain and Australia. She has taken the year off rowing as a result, having been in Lewis & Clark’s rowing program for the past two years after her four years in high school with MRA. Will and Teresa’s foster daughter Lauren is still at USD, active with her studies.
Outside Marin Rowing, Will currently has a global management role for a predominant Cyber Security Company. His past experience in forming and leading teams along with experience in personal development and coaching makes MRA a great compliment. The sport and our club have remained a top priority for Will following right behind his family priority and work.
